This is the story of my oldest child Liam:

Liam was born on 2/28/04, it was a wonderful day, one of the 8 best of my life.  Each of my children's birthdays being the others.  When I think back to my pregnancy and birth story with Liam I definitely feel that he was my most difficult pregnancy, which is strange considering that most people say that twin pregnancies are always the worst; that certainly was NOT the case with me.

When I discovered I was pregnant with Liam my husband and I were not yet married, I desperately wanted a child but he wasn't ready, and he told me so, he told me that there was no possible way in the world that he would be able to raise a child and suggested that we give the baby up for adoption.  I was completely appalled and told him that, in or out, he was going to have a child.  His only choices was weather or not he wanted to stay with me.  I left him and moved back in with my parents with full intention of raising Liam on my own.  Due to situations in my past I was not 100% sure I was going to be able to carry a child, so I was extremely careful, I was terribly frightened that I would lose the pregnancy.

A few weeks into the pregnancy I began feeling horribly sick.  I couldn't keep anything down and all I wanted to do was die!! It was absolutely the worst that I have ever felt in my life.  The doctors began to be concerned that I was losing weight and not gaining it; so they set me up for a sonogram at 13 weeks.  My husband came with me.  The minute he saw that little being on the screen he came around and fell in love with him.  The Tech said that he was growing fine, but that he placenta was in an "awkward" place and that it might cause me some issues later in the pregnancy.  She wasn't kidding!!! at 22 weeks I began to have HORRIABLE sciatica.  This was only 2 weeks before our wedding.  I was half expecting to have to use a wheelchair to get down the aile; but luckily with the support of my Dad on the way down and my new husband on the way back, I made it.  a few weeks later I was given my second sonogram, and I was shocked!!! I was so sure that Liam was going to be a girl; but no there HE was out there for God and everybody to see.  A little BOY!!! That sealed the deal my husband was in love.  I don't think he has ever been more proud!! (Well maybe on the days of our other 2 sonograms)

At 39 weeks my doctor desided to induce, I had been having problems since day one, and she finally decided that it had gone on long enogh.  On February 28, 2004, at 9:11 pm, following an emeregency c-section Liam Daniel came into the world!!! My first of many!!! playing soccer boy
