I am updating here as the other post got so large I wanted the supporters to see the update. She is still in the burn unit, but the burns are only 3% of her body, her arm torso and leg are bandaged. They do not hink they will have to debraid the burns, thank God as that is so so painful. Mom says baby is in good spirits, eating and drinking, tho mad mom can thold her as she normally does.
thank you to all who prayed for this baby and her family, that is why I love this site so so much.
and to those who got angry your comments were delted, this post was not so people could blame the family, who feel bad enough- it was for prayer for a baby. It happens that fast folks, the waitress set the cup down, and the fil was not as fast as the baby. Who in their right mind would ever believe that someone would do something like that? people get busy, so take a break, people get tired, take a break...mistakes happen everyday...but if this was anyone of your children...I doubt very much yoou would be so willing to thro blame about to your own loved ones and such...so again, if it isnt supportive, find another post to reply to as It will be deleted. As unfortunantly the other post was deleted as I refuse to have my friend and her family see that.
ty all again so much, I told mom I will print this out for her, and she was so grateful....the doctors were in shock that this is the 3rd incident of its kind at that resteraunt this yr alone. I am sure the waitress does feel horrible, but its still training needs to be improved. If someone is in the way, wait til they move, if someone isnt right there, put the item at the opposite end of the table. it is well and good to in hindsight say the waitress had a job to do...but a baby was burned and thats all that matters. The prayers are working, ty ty ty.
Comments:
I am so glad to hear the baby is better.
Don't listen to the jerk who want to post rude comments. Last year my 5 month old found something on the floor and choked and after we got back from the ER I posted a review of what to do when an infant chokes, and I got a few "What were you doing while your baby choked" nasty commnts, which I deleted. There are always a few ppl who will try to be hurtful. Ignore them.
ty so much to you kind ladies. I am always amazed at the love here, but unfortunantly also the judgements. I know I am guilty myself sometimes of judging, but i keep it to myself unless asked at least.
Neta is almost home as we speak. Her mom was brave enough to wqant to chnge the bandages in 5 days, and then she will be here hersel I am sure to post. your comments are so sweet and caring, and I shall pass them,a nd the positive ones I saved from the last ones to my friend.
she thanks you all so much...(hugs) this is why cafemom is an incredible place...
Thank You Ladies!!! My daughter and i are home now, and she is in bed sleeping. I have to take her to her doc later this week and that's when we will remove her bandage's and see if they are healed or if they need to be wrapped again. I know that my FIL feels bad, but it's not his fault. Like jen has said, the waitress should have put the coffee cup somewhere else instead of in front of my 6 month old daughter. All i can say is that it is common sense, that's it. I mean how hard is it to put a cup further away, from a child? I have been a waitress before, never in a resturant like this but still, i would of put the cup in front of someone else at the table. Again ladies thank you for the prayers. I'm sooo glad that i have ppl here to send prayers and well wishes. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!!
