Andrew D. Sapp, Ph.D.,
is the Founder & CEO of Cherry Gulch a high quality ranch-style therapeutic
boarding school for 10 to 14 year-old boys.
He is a Licensed Clinical
Psychologist and a well-rounded clinician who has worked as a therapist at a
therapeutic wilderness program for 11 to 13 year-old students, a locked
inpatient psychiatric hospital where he was the lead clinician on the adolescent
unit and also worked on the pediatric unit, two community clinics, an elementary school, and an inner
city group home for foster boys.
He was also a Naval Lieutenant and
therapist at a military hospital. Dr. Sapp started his career as a coach, camp
counselor, and mentor and later worked at a youth correctional facility with
youth as young as 12 years-old. It was
here that he developed his passion for working with youth and particularly for
early intervention and prevention.
