So my husband has been diagnosed with depression. His psychiatrist put him on meds, but of course they will take time to work. We have been dealing with this for about two months. He finally went for some help. Big problem is he is convinced that his job is the problem and that he should quit. I am a stay at home mom with a three year old girl and am 14 week pregnant. If he quits we have no insurance, no income, and will have to hurry and try to sell our house in this bad economy. Our family doesn't live close so i will have to put my daughter in day care if I go to work because I am not sure that he can properly care for her at this point. I have no problem working, but know that in six months I am going to be having a baby and will be out again. I just am at my wits end and don't know what else to do? I am hoping he will be able to stay in his job and his meds will start working soon.

speak with the psychiatrist.
If he stops working, can a "disability" be proven?
Best wishes for a good recovery.
