'Tis the season...to celebrate the birth of Jesus! Yet, every year we can look around and it seems it is all about what we can get and not what we can give. So many people are worried about whether or not they can buy enough gifts for the people on their lists, how many presents will be under the tree. I know, because I too am guilty of this. Well, not this year! I refuse to allow the commercialization of the Christmas season to overwhelm me and bring me down.
This year there will not be many gifts under the tree...maybe only one a piece. We just simply do not have the money to spend. My children know this, and their response is amazing! They do not care, because they know what the real meaning of Christmas is all about. In fact, my children have made a special request this year. They have asked that a portion of what we would spend on them be given to someone else less fortunate. What a blessing it is to know that my children are so self-less, instead of filled with selfishness.
So CafeMoms...here is a challenge for you. Are YOU willing to make a change this Christmas? Are YOU willing to put the needs of OTHERS ahead of yourSELF? I mean really...haven't we all been taught at one time or another that is better to give than to receive? So why not put this teaching into action?
There is a website I would like to have you all visit, and there is a video, a short one, to watch. Please take a moment of your time to watch this video and see how YOU can make a difference this Christmas in the lives of some very deserving individuals...including your own.
After you visit, pass the link around...lets make a change this Christmas, a change for good, a change to help, a change to love more and give more!
Blessings to all of you and may you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
