He has a Birthday coming up...December 16th -- he will be 8. His Mom is asking for Birthday cards for Devin...let's all send one...and hope it helps to brighten his Birthday!

Hello everyone,  my son who will be turning 8 this month (Dec.16th) would like to make a request for people to send him birthday cards. He is trying to see how many he can get. So we will be counting them together, then putting them into a photo album for him to keep. (They can arrive later then his actual birthday).

Devin has a Astrocytoma Brain tumor and has not been feeling to good lately, so he asked if I would do this for him and of course I said yes. So we have had to slow down a little on our home schooling and work around how he is feeling and do more on his good days.  So the cards would really cheer him up as well. Devin's considered Terminal as his tumor can't be removed its in the brain stem. We are right now looking for a wheelchair for him and the Dr's have said that after he was placed in the wheelchair it would more then likely be a year after that we will lose him to his battle. However, we take that with a grain of salt as we have heard it before and he fights hard to stay here with us, he is just an amazing little boy.  So if you would like to send him a card you can mail it to:

Thanks Sweetie! Voted POP.....on my post Devin's Mom wrote that he would be thrilled to get cards and so would she -- to see his smiling face. He's had to have some tests recently and it's been rough on both of them...I hope he gets a TON of cards!

I went to the P.O. Box today and there were 34 cards in there and a box that I needed to pick up for him. We also got 3 cards from others that live around us.  He is going to have the best birthday ever thanks to you and so many who have helped to get his wish out there and have sent cards.

There were another 6 cards in the box today. : ) Devin's getting so excited. So we are making a calendar tomorrow to count off the days till his birthday and the days till Christmas.  : )

    I went to the p.o. box today and there were 29 cards in their and a package that I needed to pick up. : )  Devin's eyes just lit up when he seen them all. He is so excited and can't wait to open and read them all. Holli, your card was in this batch! Thank you!!!

   I do believe that the boys are feeling better today from their flu or virus that they have had.  The sure sign of that is well, when I went to the p.o. box and my dd was watching them. Jr. decided it would be a great idea to flood the bathroom and well Devin decided that he needed a haircut and cut off ALL , Yes, ALL his bangs! lol  So he will get a haircut tomorrow when he is felling a little better yet and we will fix his less then great barber skills! lol
