The Night Before Jesus... a poem by me :)

'Twas the night before Jesus
and all through the stable,
not a creature was stirring
though they were able.
Love and Peace hung in the air
in anticipation a Savior soon would be there.
The donkey and oxen were settling down
not even the lambs were making a sound.
Mary was moaning, writhing in pain
Joseph sat helplessly beside her
in the hay where she lain.
In heaven the Angles were waiting to go
to spread the good news to others below!
The birth of a baby!
Heaven could not wait
it would not come to early,
nor be too late.
Right when God said
the Baby, He came.
He entered the world
with no spot or blame.
The Angels were sent forth
to declare unto men:
"Have no fear! For good news we bring!"
"Glory to God in the highest!"
"Christ is born, He without sin!"
The shepherds they traveled
to Bethlehem town,
To see this new King
the One with no crown.
All creation rejoiced!
The animals, they sang!
Down the valleys and hilltops
His praises, they rang!
For in that mere stable
when that Baby was born,
death and sin,
from our lives was torn.
Disease and lack
anger and strife
He ripped away,
out of our life.
He came as a man
like you or me
because of His love~Oh, can't you see?
When Jesus was born
Sweet Emmanuel
the Light shone forth,
darkness, it fell.
God sent His Son
to show us His love.
Peace and Hope
came from above.
Should we need a reminding
lest we forget the reason,
Let's celebrate HIM!
Without Him THERE IS NO SEASON!
