I live in the state of Missouri and I have done about everything in my power for my kids to recieve services.....

They have Autism ya know!

but I am banging my head against a brick wall right now trying to get my dd who is 7 ABA thearpy!

It is recommended by my Ped...but the school district says it is only for "severe cases" of Autism..

HelP..

I am normally pretty good at this....but I am tired and beat down..does anyone know how to help me get these services....."at a reduced cost or free"?

ask your pediatrician to refer to someone for therapies hon. I dont live in your state or i would likely know at least where to start. try doing an internet search on autism therapy in your state

Check out WrightsLaw.com or FETAWEB.org and see if you can find some resource organizations to help in your state.

if nothing will help them you might have to move acrosee the state line somewhere, MO is horrible for state assistance.  even WIC is almost more problem than help.  i've been in MO for 4 years and their-the state's- helpfulness is just pitiful.  i'm a full time student and they are constantly giving me a hard time...it's like they don't realize in 3 years i'll have a job and hopefully never be at DFS again! I have actually had social workers make me cry.

My child does not have Autism and he was recieving ABA through our school last year just becuase it was helping him. My advice to you would be to call the state of MO Board of Edication. My best friend had to call them to get her child the help she needed and now her daughter is getting all the services she needs.
