I have the hardest time listening to people talk about things they know nothing about. In fact I have to hold my peace and wait for the right words to say so I do not talk with anger.

There was a woman that I saw with some far out socks. I guess I should not have said anything because once I said "Wow now those are some socks"

another person began to judge that woman..."Well why would someone wear socks like that? "

and on and on...well maybe she has kids that love for her to wear goofy socks, maybe they were a gift, maybe she only has those socks to wear...maybe she just loves wild socks etc. I am sure there are things about each one of us another person could question...what a waste of time! Instead of talking about her socks we could have been doing something important, something helpful, something to make someone happy...

No one person is better than another because of their pay check. Look at the woman that gave very little but it was all she had and the men mocked her. Jesus told them that this woman has given more than anyone here because she gave all she had.

A friend once told a joke at church about a man named "John Doe" that made a lot of money and he went to the Pastor for prayer. He said "Pastor, I want to be a tither, but it is hard now that I make so much money, see before I only had to give 50.00 and that was easy and then I had to give 75.00, I was still ok with that, but now I have to give 100.00 and it is just so hard to let go of that money, I just can't do it. " the Pastor said "ok, I will pray for you now... Lord please cut John's pay to 500.00 a week so that he can tithe again."

Greed and judgement are very dangerous. I have never had as much as some, but I have been at rock bottom, and I can tell you this, It is better to be without the luxuries and to have a pure and honest life then to be selfish and judgemental. As God's children who walk the Word, we are promised an abundant life...but like all things it will be a battle to maintain what you have been blessed with. Satan wants you poor and defeated.

If you are wealthy or even pretty comfortable take a look at what all you have, would you give it all away to follow Jesus? The rich man didn't, but the poor woman did.

I have to tell many people not to buy me things unless they don't care if I give them away someday. I truly appreciate their gifts, but I love to bless people who are without. So if I have very little clothing today and I am blessed with clothing, I will gladly accept. When I have clothes and someone does not I am going to bless that person even if I only have a little to share. That leads me to another story that a Pastor shared with us at church....(may not be word for word) there was a little boy on a beach and he was picking up the starfish that were stranded on the shore and throwing them back. A man asked him what he was doing and the boy said he was saving the starfish. The man looked at the beach which was covered in starfish and told the boy he was never going to save enough to make a difference. The boy paused and thought and then picked up another one and threw it out into the ocean and told the man you tell that one that I didn't make a difference...he did it again and said the same and so on and so on. Never be discouraged because a situation seems too big and you are not sure if you will make a difference, never keep something you can share because you can't fulfill all of a person's need.

We are blessed to be a blessing.

...And families stick together, don't wonder what is going on in your loved ones life...KNOW, be involved, care enough to stop in and say hi from time to time, catch up with them. Send them and e-mail, bake them cookies, squash and old arguement and get on with loving them for who they are. We are all different and have different callings. In many ways we complete each other...all for one purpose. God bless, Sheri
