I don't really want my DS father around, or in my sons life since he is a bad influence and gets annoyed very easily around Faolan but... He didn't even attempt to contact me to ask about Faolan. It was my dear precious first Christmas after all.

I don't want him around does it make me a hypocrite because I wanted him to show that he cared? I just wanted to know that he thought about his son... I guess not. On a brighter note Christmas was great. Faolan loved all the attention he even got a bb that was handmade passed through the generations.

no, it doesnt make u bad for wanting him to have something to do with his kid.  i went thru the same thing with DS1's dad... he would go MONTHS without calling, only seeing him on his bday (may) and christmas.  This last time after he stood up our son (promised to get him for the weekend, never showed or called) and then didnt call for 3+ months, I finally told him to get lost.  that was the best feeling in the world, knowing that it is better for my son to not have his sperm donor in his life at all than only having him around when its convenient for said sperm donor.  good luck :)
