I'm done!  I'm tired of being 'nice' for years just to have our ONE and ONLY grandchild>>>WITHHELD from us!!

From the Day he was born I was NOT allowed in the delivery room to see my ONLY grandchild born.
My son was allowed in very reluctantly by the mother's mother (which has control over the mother)!

So as you can Imagine this has been going on for over 4 years now.........promises of telling me and my husband we could have him over for a pool birthday party for him or ride on our boat to take him fishing and tubing....NEVER EVER come to pass.....

ALWAYS

the EXCUSES he's sick, he's at greatgrammas, he's at the grampa's (a falling down drunk and lived with them).

ALWAYS

EXCUSES......the latest feusaud was yesterday (and my breaking point).....We Wanting to GIVE him his Christmas presents and Belated Birthday presents....

the other Grandmother told us, on the phone,  to come to HER church (Lake City Foursquare in Moses Lake, Washington)  that our grandson would be there and we could go to mcdonalds playland after the service....

So

Me and my husband,  our oldest son (the father) and our two youngest sons All went to HER CHURCH at her spcified time......and

NO Grandson!!

Of course we asked and she said she didn't know anything but she got a text from the mother (her daughter) and she said Our Grandson was SIck!!

Unbeilivable!

But she told me she would have him spend the night and bring him to our house the next day around 6.30pm....well AS USUAL giving us Hope we'd FINALLY SEE our Grandson....

Today Came and  waited and waited.....

NO Grandson!!!

The other grandmother said he was still sick.!!!

SHE LIESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSss!!!!!

Because on...

Her Facebook says otherwise with Photos of our grandson at HER HOUSE in PERFECT health, Last Night!!!!!!

It's just Not right.....We just don't know what we can do as GRANDPARENTS in the STATE of WASHINGTON to Visit our grandson??

First your son needs to establish his rights as the father if he does not have them yet. Then he needs to have a visitation order set into plan. Then you all can see your grandchild. Depending on what state you live in there might be grandparents rights where you can get him on weekends etc. Call a lawyer for a free consultation. Good luck!

I know in Texas we have grandparents rights, I know nothing about Washington.  I agree with the above poster.  Contact an attorney.  Best of luck to you,  grandchildren are such a blessing.  My grandbabies are my heart.

I am sorry to hear you have not got to see your grandson. My heart goes out to you. Specially since you want to be in his life. Contact a lawyer and fight for your rights to see your grandchild. Good Luck.

Yes there is grandparent rights in WA! BUT like posted earlier your son needs to establish a firm parenting plan. Is he legally named the father of his son? If not, call family services in Ephrata (just call the court house and ask for Family Support) and they will do DNA and the entire parenting plan for him! BUT if you want to go for rights under grandparent visitation you'll need a lawyer.  Here's a good site for you too look through:
