So today I thought about making 'chore coupons' if my child does her chores she gets a coupon that says her chore and I put it in a empty tennis ball can with the lid slit open to insert coupons. She wants toys and it's time she learns she has to work for them. Also I've thought about using paper money or make some myself, anything's better than just giving her toys,it's time to teach responsibility. The problem is I forget to do this or don't do it because I get bored with it,laziness is my problem.I'll do it a couple days then stop for whatever reason. So I need accountability to stick with it.I haven't yet figured out how I'm going to do it.I wrote her chore on a piece of paper'coupon' and put it in the can,so when I'm going to do it I take the paper out, read it in front of her and when she does the chore put it back in the can.She has about 5 chores, pretty over whelming but doing the chore coupons keeps me from nagging at her all the time this way she learns to be independent of me.So I guess that's how I'm going to do it.It has to be easy and carefree else I won't do it,don't have time to look for seperate pieces of paper or whatever I think keeping it in the can is the way to go.So when I take the papers out, I need a reliable place to keep them, this goes on for the whole week.So I may need another can to keep the chore coupons and use the other one to insert them.I will have to write on the paper the date the chore was done maybe so I can keep track of the days but doing this every week?Maybe write the chore done on the calendar better. At the end of the week we count up the chores done if she gets 5 she gets a toy.
