December was a month of proud moments. First, my oldest son called to tell me he was accepted to Lyon College. Lyon is one of the top liberal colleges in the USA. Then, he asks me to attend Honors Day at the college with him. We haven't been close as he has lived the past five years with his father. I went for part of the day as the college is in the town where I live. His Grandma, my mother, was with him for the other half. He called me about 4pm, He was awarded a $9000 per year scholarship. This is about 1/4 of the cost per yr as Lyon is a private college.
This is Clifton with his scholarship and President Dan Weatherman.
Christmas at Mom's was even good with her and the boys. They were thankful for the things they received even though it wasn't what I'd liked to have given them.
Mom with her new DVD/VHS player.

Clifton sporting his embroideried blanket and looking at his "Thru the Years" album of photos of his family and himself.
Other photos will be available later. But Wayland got his class ring and Drew got a MP3 player! They each got an embroideried blanket with personalization on it. They were quite happy!
I scored school pics of each and a mortal and pestal for processing my dried herbs. With the family here(hubby's) I got new night shirt, soxes to match and spanish/english dictionary. Hubby got new shirts, summer sausage, and soxes. We've had a good December! Even with the two wrecks yesterday in the family, we were blessed no one was seriously hurt!
