Are there others out there with the same problem. My sisters and I have come to the conclusion that our mom as a eating problem. She is actually hiding food. All she eats is junk food. We spoke with our dad and he says he knows, but doesn't know what to do.
We are planning a video conference call (all of us live in other states) to do an intervention. We belive she eats because she might be depressed/stressed/lonely ect. We want to get her involved in hobbies where she can't eat when she is doing this.

I hope you're able to give her the support that she needs to get help! I haven't personally dealt with it but my best friend deals with it. It's very hard to not eat or binge. She's been trying to control it for several years now it's slowly getting better. Best of luck to you and your family during this difficult time!

Food is as serious an addiction as drugs or alcohol in my opinion. You are doing damage to your body if you are a binge drinker, or a binge eater, you know??
I hope the intervention works out, and your mom gets the help that she needs.
I have had issues with bulimia since I was 16 (about 8 years now) and I know that when I was depressed I would binge on nothing but junk for hours... it's crazy what your emotions have you do sometimes!
