One of my most important New Year's improvements for me is to do better at keeping my quilty space neater by putting things away when I'm finished with them. So here are a few before and after shots:
1. My sewing chair and behind it, Before:

Believe it or not, it was actually worse than this right before Christmas....After:

I'm not sure you can see the difference, but the floor was completely covered and I was killing myself trying to reach from where I could walk to where my totes are up on the storage units. The pile in front is embroidery projects queued up for whenever I my embroidery machine back...some day...
Next is my ironing board. I didn't get a picture of it, but believe me, there were magazines, books, long arm tools, fabric, and I don't remember what else, but now is only my current project:

I still need to clean off the table to the right, but even that is better than it was!
Now, my cutting table. It had 4 or 5 distinct piles ranging from quilt projects to magazines, tools, papers, you name it & now:

Just my current two projects!!
I even cleaned up the storage in the basement bathroom and am now reorganizing the basement storage. I had it pretty good last Spring, but with the kids helping to decorate the house for Halloween & Christmas, it is another disaster again.
I will keep getting the area better. I just wish my DH didn't keep interupting with his priorities!
Next order of busines: Shutting down my computer and putting it back together from 6 mo ago when I was having wireless issues...
Have a great rest of your day!
