surgery

so i was having a pain in my chest and i had had this pain about 2 months ago, it went away after a few days. It just came back a week ago and it hadn't gone away. I thought it was an ulcer or maybe kidney stones. I don't like hospitals and doctors. but the pain was so bad that i looked at my husband while we were out doing errands and said we need to find a babysister because i am going to the hospital now. spent a few hours in the hospital thinking i was going to get some meds and come home well it wasn't that easy. they did an ultrasound and found that i had stones in my gal bladder and that i would need surgery. I have never had surgery except my c-sections. It was very unexpected. So i was signed in or whatever they do i stayed over night and had the surgery that morning. stayed another night and went home the next morning. They put a drain in so i can't take a shower for a week until the drain is out. The doctor took my gal bladder out and it was infected and filled with stones. Now i am recovering.

I am glad that you are home and recovering, Jess! I had my gall bladder out too...We knew I had stones around 5 months along in my 1st pregnancy but they did nothing until after I had the baby because they didn't want to cause complications. It is a pain that no one who's not gone through it can imagine!
