So, it's been months that I've been following the blogs of people who buy a whole lot, but spend very little at CVS. And I have done okay, most of the time, by getting my ECBs on things I buy anyway. But today, I feel really pleased with what I spent for what I got, and wanted to blog about it :o)
1st Trip:
Clorox $1.96 (on sale)
Bioluxe Conditioner $9.99 (will submit $9.99 Mail-in Rebate)
Bioluxe Shampoo $0.00 (BOGO)
OB x2 $5.00 each
Listerine $0.00 (for buying 2 OB)
So my cost was $21.95
Then, I used a $5 off $20 coupon
and paid with $5 of ECBs from December
So I spent $13.60 (after tax), and will get $9.99 back from the MIR =
$3.61 total
I also picked up my $5.50 ECB from my fall spending
2nd Trip:
Rx $1.70
Olay Lotion x2 $8.99 each
For a cost of $19.68
I used a $4 off $20 coupon
and my $5.50 Fall Spending ECB
So I spent $11.09 (after tax), and got back $5 ECB for spending $15 on Olay
Summary:
Clorox, Shampoo, Conditioner, 2x OB, Listerine, 2x Olay, Rx = $14.70, and $5 to spend next time :o) Eh, well it's a good start at least!
Comments:
Thanks :o) I don't think I could ever do it on the fly...I had to write my plan down in advance of what I planned to buy & what coupons I planned to use. If I had planned a little better (and they had had the grape jelly I needed in stock), I could have also used my $5 off $25 coupon that has now expired. Oh well... not a bad start, anyway.

I have watched those threads with people spending nothing for everything they got and just can't quite get it.....I'm running to CVS so maybe I'll just start TODAY! You did good though!!
