So almost three weeks ago I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes..what fun! I was put on Glyburide to try to keep my levels down and that just didn't do the trick. I went in for my OB appt and she at first wanted to admit me to the hospital (NOOOOO) and then decided we can try to keep them under control with insulin injections. So I get to poke my finger 4 times a day and poke my belly/thigh 3 times a day! I know what you're thinking.."Gosh Kaylin I am sooooo jealous of you!" but try to control your jealous tendencies! Starting the 19th I also get to go in twice a week for NST (non-stress tests) which should be fun! But yay I get at least one U/S on the 25th to see how big my little sumo wrestler is and I might get  another one as part of a study on women who have slightly higher than normal chances of having big babies. Not complaining at all about that cuz I would love to see him again! So that is gist of all the fun I have been having for the past few weeks. Just thought I would update anyone who wants to know!!

My friend had to go through all of that too.  I had complete previa so I know how fun stress tests are...etc.  I was on hospital bedrest (ugh) for a week and then my little peanut came early at 33 weeks.  Stupid previa!!  She just came home Monday.  It was a long month and a half.  I wish you luck on your pregnancy!!

I went for bi-weekly nst. they're nice. you sit in a recliner and listen to baby's heart beat and movement. (unless yours is like mine was and won't really move around much. Then they zap your tummy with a vibrator!)
