Jobless... what a crock.

Seriously? No one will hire me? I am starting work at a gas station next week because none of the desk jobs I applied for have taken the bait. I hate it, I want to be horribly pissed off that I have to do 'menial' work, I am an office drudge, not a manual labor drudge. Funny thing is...I am totally defending this job to everyone because IT'S A FREAKIN' PAYCHECK! I keep telling people I'm just grateful to have something in this economy. And I am..I really am, but it's still really depressing to be working for minimum wage. I haven't worked minimum wage since I was 21.

Well, you are not alone on your journey! Many of us are laid off and went through the holiday season with little funds. If the "menial" job is going to keep you from going crazy sitting around the house, then take the job-graciously-until the next one comes along. Good Luck too, because when I worked at a gas station years ago, it was a fun and interactive job!
