The big 3!

Yesterday, Ian turned 3! Time really does fly! I think even a day later, Im still in shock. I can remember holding that little baby in my arms night & day, cuddling him and all that fun baby stuff. Now he's a big boy! I woke up yesterday, wished him happy birthday & asked him if he was 5 and he looked at me & says No Im tree!! LOL So the preparations for the party went on all day... I decorated his cake, which was Thomas, Percy & James... and though they really didnt look exactly like the engines, he couldnt wait to "eat them"--BTW, he doesnt eat cake...so then I picked up the food, decorated the dining room & then waited for the guests to arrive. 21 people were to come (that included the 5 of us) and not everyone showed up. It was dissappointing to me, but I know he didnt care... We ate and he was so excited to finally get to "cake time" that he was rushing people! HA HA. So Im trying to usher everyone into the dining room and he's in there yelling " COME ON!! START THE FIRE!!!" LOL... that meant light the candles. We sang, cut the cake etc & at one point, I cant remember if it was because I was taking a picture of him or someone somewhere else said something, but he started singing Happy Birthday to himself again & stopped & looked around w/ a big smile when no one else joined in. It was adorable :) And as soon as the cake was done HE cleaned all the plates off the dining room table cause it was time for "pwesens" LOL... and again he's yelling for everyone to come in ha ha. All in all it was a great day with great people & he really enjoyed himself and I couldnt have asked for a better day. I love my little man! Pictures up later :)
