So it went down to 13 degrees this morning (in Florida)!!! It's been below freezing here for over a weeks straight and we've been having record lows. The last time it snowed here I was 7 years old (I'm 28 now) and it snowed a few days ago. We missed it being that is was the weekend and the kids and I were still sleeping but here's a pic my friend took when it first started...

One of our lovely Florida palm trees...slowly getting covered in snow LOL! I felt bad they missed the snow so the next day we thought we'd make our own winter wonderland, Florida style ;). The next night we put the sprinkler out all night since it was suppose to get down into the teens again (BTW for those non florida people it's usually in the 40's-60's this time of year). This was our result the next morning...

The boys were so thrilled! Phoenix (3) wanted to stomp and eat the ice while Asher (6) wanted to save it and keep it in the freezer.

It was cold, as u could tell by Asher's expressions but he just had to get a pic of himself holding the ice LOL!

Phoenix wanted me to take a picture of him in the ice but didn't want to look up so he could keep looking at the ice! LOL

The boys and their daddy playing in the ice.

The boys and I...please ignore my ugly just woke up face lol

Pretty ripples

Asher was shocked when he breathed out and could see his breath! Can u tell we're from Florida and it doesn't get this cold often? LOL So I took a picture of him blowing...

Breath in the cold...kinda looks like a ghost huh?

So that our Florida winter so far =}
-------
Just to give u a idea of how rare this is, this is what we did on the Christmas before last (Christmas 2008)...

Yep that's right, we were in our swim suits at a water park LOL

LOL, 2008 it was 80+ degrees! This year stores are sold out of warm winter coats! Looks like your boys had a blast :)
♥ I Love it! Such a fun idea! I grew up in Orlando (20 yrs) so I know how exciting this is! I loved all your pics! You have such beautiful hair and adorable family! Thanks for sharing! Hugs, Tiera ♥
I grew up in Ohio & I cried my first year in Florida because I was in shorts on Christmas day :)~
Great pics, Sweetie! You are such a fun Mom! :-) Thanks for sharing these...I have to wonder what would happen if they actually saw real snow! LOL!! Enjoy!
It's been crazy right? ---- I was shocked to have to scrape my windshield TWO days in a row here in Tampa! --- There was a half inch of solid ice each time! --- It was just crazy... I kept thinking I would awaken from some crazy dream or something!
It was so funny... I had to scrape it with a plastic spatula! ---- HAHA!
Oh and I just had to say...
That global warming is something that creates crazy climate changes in parts of the world that normally wouldn't have such instances of extreme hot or cold.
So .... yeah... Florida could just be experiencing some of that type of global warming effect!
OH NOES!
It is just to cold for me here!! LOL. But the pics turn out really cool!! thanks for sharing!!
