I just spent the day watching my son as he crawled along the floor, stopping at everything he noticed, felt and heard. Talk about stopping to smell the roses.... kids really teach that lesson well. Even though he was heading for a destination like his activity table he focused on the journey there. Sometimes I am so focused on the goal I forget the steps it takes to get there. I don't give myself enough credit either and forget all the things I have accomplished along the way. It is clear how proud my son is of himself, first rolling over, sitting up, pulling to a stand, cruising and standing by self. I hope he never loses this in his life.
