OK well we began our house hunt today. Unfortunately Dh gets off work at 6 so it was already getting dark when we went out to see it and the properties did not have electric. But the realtor brought a flashlight and we were able to see it alright for now.
We saw two tonight. Grant Dr and Hunter Ridge. So far we are all in agreement that grant drive is the best house. Someone has done some work to the house remodelling it. But I love the floor plan. There is lots of pantries in the kitchen. Lots of cabinets. The kitchen isn't as wide/big as I'd like. But I try to spend as little time in there as I have to anyway. It has a dishwasher but we would need a refrigerator and stove. The laundry room is a bit smaller than I'd like but doable.
Hunter Ridge needs too much work. It has a privacy fence but a portion has been taken down in front and in the back it looks like someone ran into it. The carpet is bad in places. The only part I love about this house is the chandillears and granit kitchen table tops. The kitchen is also larger. But we won't be considering this one. Not a good layout and beyond the kitchen we wasn't impressed. Its also one drive over from a trailor park. So not happening.

Please post some pictures :) Those of us who do........can help with your desire :)
Honey, faboo lighting & granite countertops can be had in a home that doesn't need a boatload of work. *wink*
I absolutely LOVE that you are clear about what you like & don't like about each property. Go with your guts & there will be no "buyer's remorse".
Sooooo happy for you, love! Good luck on securing the Grant Drive property. The kitchen sounds like it would suit you to a "T". *wink*

I adore the Grant Drive property, love! Soooo coooool! You & your honey*man might enjoy taking Christopher Lowell's books, especially 7 Layers of Design, Small Spaces, & If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It!, out of the local library for a look-see, so that you can be confident about making inexpensive, gorgeous personalizing touches to your spaces there.

I loved house hunting! Good Luck and don't settle, try to get the realtor (previous owner) to throw in a stove or a lil something extra. We bought our 1st home and yr and a half ago and still love it.
