I never get on here any more--update

Lately I have been spending so much time in my own local birthing and parenting community that I simply haven't had time to get on CafeMom. I do miss some of you very much. Just to update you on a few things in my life:

I began an ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) Chapter for Knoxville, TN. This is a wonderful non profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of ever increasing surgical births, prevention of C-sections, and support for mothers who have had or are facing a C-section. You can find out more about them at www.ican-online.org. If you are interested, you can search for your own local chapter and attend free monthly meetings.

I also was recently invited to be a part of ETBC, the East TN Breastfeeding Coalition. This will also be occupying much of my time. Knoxvillemommies.com is still very close to my heart as I continue there as postpartum depression support group moderator and grief/infant/pregnancy loss moderator.

As always, attending births and teaching childbirth classes keeps me busy.
