I  have about 8 weeks left in this pregnancy (and hope preeclampsia doesnt make it sooner)

I was in e.r. again last night for the second time in two weeks, dehydrated again but they did not i.v. me this time, just made sure liver blood work was good after they found baby's heartbeat.

My endocrinologist who seen me yesterday upped my glyburide from 1.25 to 5 and says she can only hope I dont have to start and use insulin before baby comes out. Im scared. She said I had onset of preeclampsia and faxed my lab and stuffs to my o.b. and wanted me seen stat! I went this morning at 9:30 (missed a statistics class all week now at college). My creatnine is high....

Ive been so busy running myself ragged, endo wants me in every two weeks (used to be two months apart), o.b. wants me in for visit and ultrasound weekly, I have two rigorous courses (anatomy and statistcis) this semester and Ive missed a statistics test and have to take 10% less IF I can can in tomorrow in the test room and take it before its pulled for good and dont end up with a zero then, and I missed lab for anatomy tonight because I got stuck in Springfield from taking Abbey over to get her skin prick allergy testing done.

Im running around with  my head cut off and spreading myself thin, trying to keep up with two toddlers and 32 weeks preggies and in college and so many appts I have to live by "lists" just to keep everything straight.

I think I can keep up, but it seems when I get most done....I get preeclampsia symptoms so bad, blood pressure has been rocketing to 154/98 sparatically then down to 126/68 in a matter of minutes. Im  a mess. I need a nanny, and a couple more days in each week lol.

Awww, Sharey!  I'm so sorry, girl!  Wished we lived A LOT closer, so I could at least help with the kids.  I can't even imagine how it is for you!

I did have preeclampsia w/my first son.  It was caught early enough that I did get on bed rest for the last couple of weeks and then went in to be induced.  Everything turned out fine.

I also had gestational diabetes with son #2, so I kinda know where you're coming from in that aspect.  I'll just pray that everything stays where it should be, at least until you give birth.  We gotta keep you and that little one healthy until "birth day"!

Hugs to you for a busy life!  And going to college on top of everything!  WHEW!

I'm sorry...I hope you can find some time for YOU! It's good that the Doc's want you in often...at least they will be able to keep up with taking care of you! ;-) Couldn't you tell your Professor's you are bordering on Eclampsia  and ask if there are any assignments that you can do from home? Surely they are Mom's or Dad's or DH's and would understand that you have extenuating circumstances. I hope you can find a friend, relative or someone to help with your LO's too...take care of YOU! And, drink some water! ;-)
