As some of you know, I went to see Arch Enemy last weekend :) Thought I'd post some pictures...
We saw them in Minneapolis, MN, which is about a 4 hour drive from here. We stayed in a hotel overnight so we wouldn't have to drive after the show. The venue was really tiny, pretty much just a big bar. I was kinda surprised how small it was. Metal bands don't usually get much recognition here in the US, but this was a bit embarassing. Arch Enemy is a rather popular band for this kind of metal and I thought they deserved more than a bar. At the same time, it is cool to be able to see them in such a small place and get to be so close. We were about two people from the front the whole time. My fiance, Chris, took all the pictures so my friend, Jess, and I could concentrate on "jumping around and being stupid" as he puts it LOL!
First off, you must drool over Chris' awesome metal hair :D

Me and Jess before the show started... (notice Nevermore necklace...always have to show love...)

Michael Amott, one of the guitarists (also in Carcass)...

Angela Gossow, vocalist...

Christopher Amott, Michael's brother, the other guitarist (Who I have now nick-named Rooster Boy...damn I hate it when metal guys cut their hair!!!)...

Angela...

Michael, Sharlee (don't feel like spelling his last name) the bass player, and Angela...

The Amott brothers doing a solo...

Mikey...

The drummer (Jess would slap me, can't remember his name!)...

Metal...

And, if you got this far, a video...
I think this is my favorite song that they did live, "Revolution Begins" (lyrics below):
Lyrics:
Never too late to stand your ground - revolution begins
In you - in me - Revolution!
Once lost - lost in their game
Mental chains breaking now
Set yourself free
Who are they to tell you what to do?
The stage is not set, the road is not chosen
You fate not preordained
They are losing control - every step of the way
This is revolution!
\m/
Comments:
Nice! Looks like a pretty intimate venue. Those shows are my favorite. I love your metal \m/ btw, it cracks me up!
headache? hell no! LOL
My ears ring for days sometimes though...depends on the venue and how good the sound people are.
