Good post, people have no idea that most of their household products (right down to their baby shampoo) are so toxic.

Some of the nicer quality things are more expensive as far as soaps and beauty products (totally worth it though) but I figure I more than make up in savings because we only clean with vinegar and baking soda.  Soo cheap!

I voted "very important and I don't care about the cost" but that isn't true.  I DO care about the cost and have been creative finding ways to switch from these products to more natural alternatives.  You can read about that on the Healthy Living Buzz.  CafeKim usually posts my newest blog on Wednesday mornings.

isn't it disgusting? That's why I only use Burts Bees products on my son. I can't believe Johnson & Johnson puts those horrible things in their baby products. Moms: read the labels!

Silly question: Do you know of any non-toxic way to make killer bubble bath bubbles?

The only one that I use on that list is the Dove bar.   I remember my mom telling me that when she was young, they used to wash dishes in Tide (or similar laundry detergent) -- they didn't have separate dishwashing soap.  Wow.

Thanks OP.

This is important information. Most people have no idea of all the poisons in common products.

missbearandmonkey - I have searched high and low for good bubblebath but no luck.  if you find one, let me know please!  the closest I acan get is this - http://www.abesmarket.com/victorian-rose-foaming-bath-oil.html

I have contacted the seller and she can make it in unscented if you want.  BUT she says it doesn't foam up like bubble bath, but does foam lightly.
