Question: Just curious... Do you know the words to our National Anthem?

Has anyone ever noticed that it is rare to see our Olympians sing the Star Spangled Banner when it is played during the ceremony when they receive their gold medal? They are usually watching the flag and yes, even crying during the song, but hardly anyone ever sings it. It kind of bugs me, I guess, because I am a very patriotic person and think it is important to not only know the words, but also actually sing them when the song is played. Even my young children know the words and sing them whenever it is played - even at home when watching sporting events :)
Tonight I watched as Seth Wescott was awarded his gold medal for Snowboard Cross and then sat and watched him not only mouth the words to the Star Spangled Banner, but actually appeared to be singing OUTLOUD! I was very impressed...and very proud. It was exciting to me. I was happy to see at least one of our athletes sing our amazing National Anthem. I just wish they all would.
Oh say can you see
By the dawns early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilights last gleaming
Who's broad stripes and bright stars
Through the parilous fight
O're the ramparts we watched
Were so galantly gleaming
And the rockets red glare
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there
Oh say does that STAR SPANGLED BANNER yet wave
O're the land of the FREE and the home of the BRAVE
Sing it loud and sing it proud!!!
