Mid-Winter Break

How many of your schools out there are doing this? The schools here in my county are giving the children an additional mid-winter break to conserve on energy and heating costs. The kids have to go to school 10 minutes earlier and get out 10 minutes later for the duration of the year. Personally I think this is really stupid considering each child is worth about $1500 from the state. Education is important to me and adding on another week long vacation is so unneeded.
