I love being a mom. However, being a stepmom is challenging.

I love being a mom, but seriously all the time,  every moment and everyday,

 I'd have to say "I have my days!"

 I have a handful of close girlfriends that have been divorced for a little over a year now and they get every other weekend off. I was thinking man, if they had every other weekend off, with their spouses' they probally would not of gotten divorced.! I'd like to have the grown up parties, with no kids once, or a quick weekend get away, or a long bike ride with no school, sport commitments rushing home too. So no I would have to say, NAH.

But, I would only want to take those weekends off, with my hubby!

Oh my i know exactly where you are coming from....I have a four year old, who thinks she knows everything, and a one year old that is about as latchey as they come......but the worst is every other weekend when i get my step son, don't get me wrong i love the shit outta him, but he is very spoiled, he has no manners, he don't think he has to eat what we eat for dinner instead he should get a bowl of icecream or something....UGH.....There are some days where i think i wouldn't feel bad for leaving for like a whole week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm a SAHM too, so it's not any easier, i have recently discovered when you stay at home you loose your "identity", now i'm just trying to gain that back while i drag my kids with me.......I WOULDN'T TRADE THEM FOR THE WORLD THOUGH!!!!
