I am tired and hungry but most of all I am frustrated.
I can't find anything to eat and everything I try to eat causes the acid reflux to attack my throat. So far I had narrowed it down to Dairy is of the devil. It causes sores on my tongue and screaming fits trying to digest it.
Pork is another no no for me. But I also find it frustrating to watch my husband and son scarf down burgers and other fattening meals. I drool as I watch them stuff their faces with oreos and I am sitting there with something gluten and dairy free.
It is taking some time but I think I am getting use to the food. I still haven't tried to go to the Boise Co-op yet and I want to check out some gluten/dairy free bakeries. I might hit them up next year for my birthday party. I tried eating my red velvet cheese cake but it caused a horrible reaction and I couldn't breath.
I am just down in the dumps and I don't think I will snap out of it until I figure this crud out! I just want to eat.... I am HUNGRY. And my grandmother told me it would take six months to heal from what the GERD has done.
In two weeks I have to go in for a dental procedure. And for some they say "oh it is just a dental exam" but to me it is three bad teeth leaking bacteria into my stomach irritating the GERD which is making it really hard for me to eat. So hopefully this fixes some of it.
Right now I want a beer and a large slab of chocolate cake.... and I can't have it. UGH!

I was just introduced to this site http://www.drgourmet.com/gerd/gerdmaincourse.shtml
Here is to hoping it helps!
Girl you need some digestive enzymes. I feel like my stomach isn't trying to kill me for the first time in about 20 years thanks to those things...
Seriously, let me know if you want to talk more about this stomach stuff. I know how it goes and I've finally found some things that are helping.
In the mean time, I totally owe you for sending me those nifty pockets a long time ago, 'member? Why don't you hop on over to my website and see if something catches your eye? www.brodysbakery.com Gluten free and vegan and nommable. Let me know if you see something that looks good, I'll send it your way. :)
Ty all :). I am just blogging out my frustrations. It can get very annoying and I don't know what I am doing at all.
I saw that brodysbakery post and thought about ordering some stuff. But I am not sure it was me who sent you nifty pockets lol. But then again my brain is all sorts of gone from being so hungry.
I found out Flax seed oil is delicious and GERD friendly. And so I am going to be blogging a lot about this adventure. As for the stomach thing... might have to try those enzymes. I keep hearing how much of a miracle they are.
Maybe it wasn't. I thought it was but my brain is gone too just from sleep deprivation not from being hungry!
Well just let me know if something sounds good and I will send it to you, no charge. Just to cheer you up! I was down in the dumps when I first started eating gluten free too. It made going vegan seem really easy by comparison.
Gluten free is tough.. I'm avoiding soy and corn too- makes things interesting.. brown rice tortillas work okay.. gluten free bread is just nasty though.. so glad I did not have to give up dairy- that might send me over the edge...
The payoff from this will be huge and worth it! It sucks now, but you can have a delicious life being GF. Aurorabunny has lots of good advice, as do a lot of other moms here who face similar issues.

I did however buy a ton of vegetable seeds but I have to wait for it to get warm enough to start them.
