Thoughts from my crazy life

INDIANAPOLIS - Amber Jackson pretended to be pregnant and deceived at least five families desperate to adopt children, bilking them out of more than $6,000 in about five months, police said.

Jackson, 28, allegedly admitted to the scam and was arrested at her Indianapolis home Friday on charges of forgery, theft and adoption deception. She is also under investigation for welfare fraud for allegedly using false information to obtain Medicaid and food stamps, police said.

"It was really disheartening hearing about the couples; many just can't have kids," Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Det. Randy L. Nave said. "This was what they thought was a good alternative."

According to a probable cause affidavit, Jackson was involved in at least four fraudulent adoption scams, involving families from Laporte and Columbus in Indiana and two couples in Utah.

SHAME on her!!
