My name is Rachel (27), and my husband is Matthew (27). We've been
married 2.5 years (Sept. '07) and neither of us had children before we
were married. We tried conceiving before we were married, and nothing
happened. We stopped trying after we were married (backwards, I know!)
and decided to try to get our bills paid so we could afford a house.
About a year later, Matthew was laid off, and we moved in with his
parents. :(
We've applied to be grad students in the fall of 2010. Out of the 3 schools we've applied to, we've only heard back from one so far. We've decided that we're going to start "trying" again for a baby. I put that in quotes because, basically, we'll just stop using condoms. If we get pregnant, fine, but I'm not going to use a calendar or take my temp or anything like that.
I have PCOS and my husband has a slightly low count. Once we move, we'll be eating better and walking around campus to get exercise. We're both keeping away from soy (which has been shown to lower count) and trying to eat more vegetables. We're both also going to be trying Hyponidd, and maybe that'll help.
I'm not going to stress out if we're not pregnant within the year, as I believe that everything is in God's master plan. Here's hoping that His time table is the same as ours!
