Always a controversial topic, to some extent...but wanted to get others thoughts. Interesting article that gets us thinking about births in the US, the underuse of midwives, the high Csection rate, and also the high number of birthing complications.

We had an unplanned C with our first and a VBAC with our second. I love the concept of home birthing, but I honestly don't think it's for me and at least know that about myself. How important is/was it for you to follow a birthing plan? Would you do something differently with future pregnancies/births that you didn't do the first time around?

You should watch" the business of being born". It was very interesting. I have midwives but even they seem to be very quick to say c-section. I would love to do a home birth or just a birthing center!
