At last my step daughter is home for good

im so happy we went to court today to gain full custody of my step daughter Alaina who is 14

she was kidnapped by her mom in august taken from her home in Missouri and then  her mom woke her up  told her to pack a bag and get in the car and on the way to the airport her mom admitted that she was moving to Florida without telling her anything till then(my step daughter was upset she did not want to go and she did not to live with her mother )

we found out in july that bm was "thinking of moving" but my dh told her that he would not give her permission and that she needs to go to court to change the custody agreement  she told him she would see him in court but she decided that the law doesn't apply to her and just left without telling us or sd  anything .

without our consent and permition (witch legaly she had to get) we filed charges for parental kidnapping and hoped for the best .

and we have been fighting ever since to get custody .

well today my dh went to court and custody was pretty much already decided by the judge so it only took a few hours and my dh went home with Alaina .

her bio mom cried but she left and we are not sure if shes going home to Florida tonight or if shes staying up here .

they came to a agreement that bm gets alaina for all the major holidays and 4 weeks during school break (just to be nice).

im really glad this nightmare is over and we have our daughter back :)

So glad to hear you got her back.

I worry about that all the time with my son. But I dont have to worry cause his so called father dont evn come and see him. He wanted to take him to his mom and step dads house one day and I put my foot downand told him no. all because he doesnt come and see my son let a lone pay child susport.

But Im happy you got your sd back
