Day 3: Room Renovations

Dave had work (actual work) yesterday, so no work got done on the room, but today, he was off again, so he continued work on the room.  He got the wall for the TV and fireplace completely framed out - next step is to put hardy-back on so we can apply the stone when it's delivered (Friday).  His brother installed some recessed lighting over where our desk will be and where our recliner will be as well.  Also being delivered Friday is the TV mount, so that wall should be done by the end of the weekend (hopefully).

Then, we can move on to the walls - which need to be mudded and taped...and then sanded down...and then painted.  But all that should only take a weekend's worth of time (again, hopefully).  Then comes the carpet, and then the furniture (YAY!!!)  Our fireplace isn't even being shipped until the 19th of March, but that's because they make the fireplaces as they're ordered, not beforehand, so...

Oh, and as a completely random, not related whatsoever...my SS is going to be on Good Morning America on March 11.  They're doing a piece on cancer and coping with it and staying in the hospital, etc.  They interviewed him (among others) and chose him to be one of the interviews aired, so...tune in, guys!!!
