I don't know about you, but periodically I go through my closet and my drawers and get rid of things that no longer make me happy. Up until about a month ago, this used to really free up some much needed space in my soul. I could take a deep breath after a long day of tidying up and feel refreshed.
Something changed though. I have cleaned my closet, all of my dresser drawers, boxes in the basement and any other secret stash places out and nothing. That sense of newness no longer overtakes me and I FINALLY figured out why!
It's not just "things" I need to be tossing. I must also get rid of relationships that no longer make me happy. I hold onto people like I hold onto socks. Thinking that even though there may be a few holes in the relationship, I should keep it. Not so. There comes a time when we outgrow people and simply must move on. People come into our lives for a reason and that doesn't mean they must stay there forever.
Thanks for listening to me. I think I am ready to do some more cleaning. My soul needs it. Maybe yours does too.

I like that good point, and I do agree I think I do need to do the same as well. I hold on to way to much!
