Ranger Daddy will turn in the the early retirement options letter he got at work last night. He will mark it saying he's not interested in any of the programs. The return on it is from CPAC (the civilian personnel office) so he probably got it purely on account of his age. We both agreed that most likely his chain of command will continue to deny him promotions and continue to turn down his training requests in an attempt to get rid of him by denying upward mobility. Which sucks because he took this position BECAUSE the department appears to have a great deal of upward mobility.
Although, when Ranger Daddy got interviewed by phone at work for a position at Ft. Lewis a few weeks ago, he did comment to the head of the department that he would be willing to stay here for a GS 7 slot in the traffic division. The Major said he'd see what he could do about that (precious little given his track record thus far).
So at this point, we continue as planned for the foreseeable future.
