When my SO and I first started dating (I think for only 2 weeks at that point) I got this beautiful gold initial necklace (A for Anthony)... well 4 1/2 years later and it is still the prettiest thing I have ever owned, because it was the very first thing that stated that we as best friends had moved onto the next chapter of our lives together.
