Ladies I feel vindicated. About 25 years ago a friend and myself were playing around with my mothers bathroom items. Things like makeup and perfume any young girl would love to play with. We had lots of fun putting on different color shades, putting makeup where it shouldn't go, Ya know the usual pre-teen stuff.
Then my friend got my mothers favorite bottle of perfume. I tried to tell her to leave it alone. Mom always used just a tiny bit because she always said it was "expensive". Quoting it was $100 dollars. Knowing my mother, I didn't believe her. Anything she valued was suddenly very expensive even if it truly only cost $5 dollars.
Well my friend ended up basically pouring half of it on us, the rest was spilled. Mom was devastated, I was in trouble, and the friend was sent home for a much needed bath!
I thought it would be nice to find a vintage bottle of this favorite bottle of perfume for mothers day. Here it is ladies, costing only ....wait for it...
$25 dollars. lol. I suppose in her mind it was worth much more than it actually is. But thats ok, its the thought that counts.
Here it is.

You are so precious, sweet one. To acknowledge all of the situation, to expand your compassion, & to do something so kind, so sweet, so thoughtful in the face of what is just moved me deeply. I'm getting teary-eyed.
Love you lots & lots, doll!
Thank you for so beautifully offering a lesson in love.

My mother bought the "Mouse Bride" perfume for me and my sister and we kept them for about 20-25 years. I just LOVED their presentation and packaging and they did have a way to make the cheapest perfumes seem expensive.
