Critter at his 18th birthday party.

March 9:
My adopted son (Chris-aka-Critter) just go ambushed and shot at his home. Everyone is leaving for the hospital now. His real mother wasn't allowed to ride in the ambulance so my family is taking her.....more updates as I get them.
March 10:
Critter is in surgery now. He was shot in the stomache. He asked his mom at the hospital if he could move to our house. We have better security and this would have not happened if he wasn't at those apartments. He is a nice kid and didn't deserve this. I think it must have been gang members not sure tho he doesn't belong to a gang.
March 10:
Up date......Chris was shot three times, his sisters boyfriend was shot once. Chris is out of surgery, the bullet to his stomache nicked his intestines. They are now watching for infection. He has a whole in his back and another bullet grazed his shoulder. He also somehow broke his hip. I guess trying to get away from the 12 year old shooter.
March 11
New update on Critter, He is supposed to get up and move around to start his intestines working. But it is really hard to do with a broken hip!
March 18
Okay...brought Chris home from the hospital today! He is doing well. Walks with one of those old lady walkers, and does it poorly I might add. But alive and getting better. The police still haven't taken the shooter in custody yet. They can't seem to find him after they had to release him. But Chris is in good spirits and happy to be out of the hospital. Having trouble with solids still, though.
To those who are asking:
His birth mother lives in bad apartment buildings. Metro doesn't know why Critter was attacked, but there are theories. One of which is a bit scarier than the other. Either he was mistaken for someone else while he was walking back from the store, or the gangs in the area have started a new initiation process... The shooter isn't talking on why he shot my brother. My brother isn't involved in any gangs, so it is a mystery as to why he was shot.

what in the world was a 12 year old doing with a gun in the first place? it seems to easy for kids to get their hands on guns these days. im sorry about your brother and sister's boyfriend. please keep us updated.

doodlebug: What exactly are you confused on? He lives in Las Vegas and when he turned 18 he went back to his birth mom's house. Now he is asking his birth mom if he can live with my mom again, because he felt safer there with my mom.
