The first week: A year without spending

The first week went great! We got outside more and didn't spend any time shopping. Yesterday we went to the lthe homeshow and were tempted by the discovery toys display but overcame it. Jayne got a free ice cream at dairy queen and we picked up a free bag of popcorn. We also won a $5 gift card to the grocery store and $10 to Dairy Queen. It was deffinately worth our $4 entry fee and was a fun family outing. I also picked up a free pair of Victoria Secret panties on my break at work with a coupon I got in the mail. We are feeling really good about how things are going so far and look forward to writing more updates : )

Congratulations for reaching your goals. Its awesome to know that money is just a means to purchase what one needs and that it does not control you for you control it!
