Im not Irish, but this year, I thought I would have a little fun on St. Patty's Day with the kids.  We had a little "visitor" that came a knockin' yesterday - Beary the Green Leprechaun Bear (A stretch I know, but it was the only St. Patty's Day-ish thing I had in the house).  I told the kids that on St. Patty's Day, Leprechauns come out and cause all sorts of mischief, and that this little guy had come to our house to cause trouble!  This kids were so excited to see what mischief he would get into!  Throughout the night, he turned over dirty clothes hampers, pulled Tuperware out of the cabinets, turned over pasta canisters and opened drawers and emptied their contents!  It has been fun!  The kids are still looking to see what else he is going to do throughout the day, but I told them that according to legend, they are only mischievious on St. Patty's Day, and if he continues to be messy, Mommy was going to have to send him away!  Not only has it been fun to have this little sneaker in our house, it has allowed me to tell the kids a little about the history of St. Patrick's Day and Leprechauns.  We all looked up St. Patty's Day stuff on the internet and learned some cool info!  We also had green scrambled eggs for breakfast this morning and my school-aged son was head to toe green before he headed out the door for the bus!
