Cammie is 9.5 months old now and has been eating table foods for quite some time now. Last nights dinner for Camryn was --chicken and brocolli noodles, green beans, sweet potato fries(organic) and a crescent roll. We had steak and I am not ready to give her beef yet. She did really well with it last night.
I dont worry about how much Cammie eats or gets on the floor. Heck I couldn't tell you how much she actually eats cause its a messy thing. I see her put food in her mouth and don't take her out of the highchair till she shows signs she is done. AKA gets a little fussy or squirmy. She had 6.5 oz of formula 2 hours before dinner and another 7.5 oz an hour after.
Had her 9 month well child check and got the ok for fish sticks and chicken fries. She loves chicken fries. I buy the Tyson kind and bake them in the oven. She doesnt get that often but she loves it.
Over the weekend she had more chicken and pasta with tomatoes and sauce. Broccoli of course. Peas, Banana blueberries(cut up of course), yogurt(she loves it) and soon I am going to reintroduce peaches. We have some peach yogurt I will give her with dinner tonight. We had organic french fries the other night baked in the oven of course and she loved those.
She also loves Nutragrain bars. I gave her the apple cinnamon one and she ate 3/4 of it. I cut it into manageable pieces and just give it to her. Tonight I am gonna cook a chicken breast tender and give her pieces of chicken with some baked baby potato quarters and mixed veggies.
We have also tried mini pancakes. Not sure I recommend these --they stick to her mouth. Gonna try waffles on Saturday for breakfast. No syrup yet of course but waffle with a little butter.
Now I have to add this --she still gags about once a week and ends up throwing up a little bit of what she was eating. It usually happens when she tries to stuff to much into her lil mouth at once. We just clean up the mess and go on. Its part of learning.
Anyway thought I would post this since so many are wondering what foods to feed to their little ones..
