Ok, I have a 17-month old little girl who is really active~and smart. Smarter than me at least.

We recently started coloring together...and she loves to color. On anything and everything. She likes to eat them too! Oy...My husband and I have started hiding the crayons so she can't get to them. but here's where her smarts come in. She hid one the other day. In the couch cushions! and guess what...while DH and I were preparing dinner and she was watching Wonder Pets (one of the very few shows she does get to watch) she decided to color my television armoire with the green crayon she hid. (Im telling you she really did hide it in the couch!! that is the only explanation we can come up with as she has been caught hiding other things in there too!)

Anyway....green crayon marks on my fairly new armoire. Granted I bought it unfinished and stained it myself last spring, so I start to panic a little but then I decided to give old Mr Clean a try. Hmmm....guess what?? Those MAGIC ERASERS really are MAGIC!! They took the crayon out! well some of the finish too but heck-no green crayon left! And I can touch up the spots where the stain is a bit lighter.

At least she was in the spirit of St Paddy's Day and used green!! Here she is wanting a piece of the action. She was saying "clean Mama. clean Mama".

I will never let my house be without these very magical things again! Gotta love a little magic!

Just a little warning, you may want to be careful letting her use them because I know a little girl who used one and it burned the skin on her hands. There is some chemical in them that can burn their little hands so it is best to use gloves when using them.

I just read the above reply and realized she said the same thing, so I guess more people are getting burns from them. Just be careful. Wouldnt want that to happen to your little one.

Wow, good to know!  I bought the  "washable" crayons for Ryder to prevent this exact scenario, but I'm sure he will eventually color on something that won't wash away easily.  Thanks for the tip :)

I have crayon murals on my walls (ugh). And I will definitely be using the Magic Erasers before we move. They work great, I love them.

Love the Magic Erasers.  They work great on a flatop stove as well!  And to clean sticky messes, crayon (as you know!), they are just wonderful!
