It will soon be 7 yrs since I entered the world of Down Syndrome. It was pretty scary at first. When you take the words "down syndrome" away , I was just left with a baby. A baby that depended on me- like all babies do. A baby that would learn to crawl, sit up, walk, and talk. Oh....and ultimately steal my heart -forever.
There are health issues and varying degrees of cognitive abilities. But isn't every child born faced with that possibility? I cannot possibly imagine life without him.He keeps me on my toes. I must say though, he has overcome a lot of the "risks". He has very good muscle tone. His immune system is that of those around him (he gets sick, but he is not always sick). He is a man of few words, but he can talk, and definitely gets his point across. He can run, jump, laugh and play. Here ia a special video I made a couple years ago. I hope you enjoy it and see that he is just like every other kid...just a little different, but really...aren't we all?

i know..im crying too. that made me hug my little guy a little closer. my son was also born with extra needs. he is blind in his left eye, severly delayed, and autistic. he didnt even sit up on his own until he was 9 months old. but he is still just a child as you explained in your video. i loved it!! the pictures matched up with the song and i honestly dont think you could have chosen a better song!! ![]()
Everyone who views this...would you vote yes on the question if this post should be popular? I know Tina and Addison would appreciate getting the word out for 3/21/10.

I'm such a baby , tears are rolling . Oh that was just beautiful. You have a very handsome boy.![]()
He is AWESOME!! I am so proud and blessed to be a mommy to a child with Down syndrome.
That is absolutely beautiful! It perfectly shows everything our children are: kids, sons, brothers, friends, beautiful people. People NEED to see this so they can understand that our children are just people, like everyone else. Your son is beautiful!
I voted popular.
