 But, here I sit at  a beautiful hotel at the beach. I can't sleep anymore.  I'm so nervous. Its ridiculous I know.  I should be excited, I should be proud.  I can't think of any thing in my life that I have set out to do and done because I wanted to.  Sure, I have accomplishments.  But,  they were things I had to do for one reason or another.  I have set this "goal of mine to complete a 5K.  Not just complete, I want to run the whole thing.  So, many people keep saying, oh, you can do it.  I'm not so sure I believe that.   I clearly lack self confidence.  So I'm going to get ready.  I'm gonna be happy with the simple parts of this day.  I have been cigarette free for almost 3 years.  I have a steady exercise routine, I am a healthy person.  I CAN RUN! If I don't run the whole 6K I'll try again soon.  The view from my hotel balcony was reward enough. Maybe the next race location will be even better

I know you can do wonderful.  Even if you don't run the whole thing it is admirable that you ran most of it!  Stacy, you are fantastic.  We are with cheering you on in our hearts

A boat does not question its ability as it pushes from the shore, it does what it is made to do. I think you will run this race just fine, no matter how many waves of doubt try to slam you. You trained your body and mind to do this thing, and I think you're going to feel fantastic when you cross that finish line!

Stacy, I think it's commendable that you have set this goal for yourself in the first place.  Whether you are among the first finishers, or even the last, the very fact that you set yourself a personal goal, and then have had the guts to follow through with it is awesome!  Participating and doing the best you can is something to be proud of.

Now, drop and gimmee 50!
