Surgery sucess

I had my double mastectomy on the 17th. Everything went real well considering we almost had to cancel due to the fact I woke up at 3a..m. throwing up. I threw up again at 5 and had to be at the hospital by 5:30. I didn't have a temperature and lots of drainage so they figured it was only sinuses. We were told I would be in surgery from 8-12 and then in recovery until about 3. Mike told me that I was in my room by 12:30!

I feel o.k. except my left spacer (insert) is about 1/2 way in my armpit and is very uncomfortable when I move just right. I am hoping to see the Dr. tomorrow to have my drainage tubes removed and some more saline put in the inserts. Hopefully he can rectify the problem with my left one without to much trouble.

I have a great attitude. My God, they are only appendages! I have been given great advice to put lots of neosporin on the cuts to make them heal better and I can't wait for my month of doing nothing to be done so I can actually pick something up!

Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers, they mean a lot to me. I hope to be up and at 'em soon. Anyone in the mood to go dancing?!
