my relationship with the depo shot TMI

i got my first depo 2 days after ds was born.the first 3 mts were good. some mild nausea and cramps. i had my normal 6 wk pp period and after that i had none. my second shot i was a week late. i took a pg test and it was negative. so i got my second shot. again no periods just spotting for 3 days it was so light, most of the time i only would noticed when i wiped. along with the second shot came a hunger worse the pregnancy cravings, i would get dizzy if i didnt eat alot. of couse weight gain came. i had no periods again by this time. i got my third shot and i had been taking my calcium yet , i started to noticed  my joints began to hurt and began to feel weak. on dec 16 i got my last shot. on feb i began to have a period. is almost april and i still have the same period. march 16 my depo shot stopped working. and am still stuck with a period that have lasted longer then a month. constant hunger. cramps from hell and joint pain. i would never get a depo shot again. yes i had no periods for the first 10 mts. all was awsome but having a period for  over a month now its NOT COOL!!

i tried the depo shot years ago. late 90's maybe. i got first injection and then my period came as it should have. the problem was after that it never ended. the three month check up came and i told my dr what has been going on. he said let's try another cycle and just give it three more months. the next three months came and went, yet still i had a period that had now lasted 6 months! lol who can get pregnant if you have a never ending period? the next injection appt came and i told my dr my period was still very heavy and has not stopped. his advice was to try it another three months. i refused to go on with the depo.
