As Humans, we have the concept of time. Along with that, comes that natural instinct in us, to make the most of time.Do all we can in what time we have been given, In every sense of the statement. Whether we are trying to squeeze in an extra lap on the walking track, to living life to its fullest. We are always trying to make the most of our time. Our days seem to fly by, as we scurry to try to keep up. But, I have given it quite a bit of thought, and have come up with the conclusions that I think will serve me well.

There are 365 days in a year, 7 days in a week. Some of us, including myself, have made a habit of labeling the days, Monday is always the hardest and longest day, first day of the work week, the dreaded Monday morning is notorious. Then you've got the so-called 'hump day'. Middle of the work week, Wednesday is the benchmark for the halfway point. And of course, Friday is our final lap, the weekend has finally arrived. After the long week, we are finally rewarded with the weekend release. But, with all these labels on our days, we have come to a point where routine is monotonous. We go on, week after week....planning for tomorrow, and regretting what we done yesterday. I have come to the conclusion that we have three days, that exist. Without names or labels, the concept of time is basic. And our worry is not necessary if you come to accept things the way that I have.

There are three days that truly exist. These are Yesterday, Tomorrow and Today. When we think of yesterday, our thoughts automatically go to, what if, or I wish I had of done this or that. Regret is an emotion that is not only useless, but also a waste of time and energy. To regret what happened yesterday will not bring it back. What took place during the day that has passed is just that, the past. And nothing that we say, think or do will ever change what happened 'yesterday'. We must let it go, and move on. Then we have the worry of Tomorrow. What will happen, how will things go? Whether it will be good or bad, it will be. Nothing that we say, think or do will let us know what will happen tomorrow. We must let it go, and let it happen as it will, and move on. Regardless of what you regret, nothing can change what has happened, and regardless of how much we dread it, tomorrow will come and we will deal with what it brings. You can not control either one, and to let the thought of trying to consume you is a simple waste of your energy. Which only leaves Today.                         Today, I can change how I feel. Today, I will treat people with respect, just as they treat me. It is only Today that we have a say-so in, so it is Today that I will change what I can. and I will let yesterday go, and let tomorrow bring what it may.
